HyrePlumber

How it works

How HyrePlumber works

HyrePlumber costs you nothing. You read the guides and use the calculators. When you want help, you describe the problem in a short form, and a person replies to you first. Matching with plumbers is not live yet, and no company gets your details unless you agree.

Last updated

Sending the form is not a service call. HyrePlumber is not a dispatch line or an instant-quote marketplace. No plumbing companies are signed up yet, so the form does not set off calls from plumbers.

If water is running, shut the main water valve and call a local plumber directly. If you smell gas, leave the building, then call 911 and your gas utility from outside. Plumbing emergencies has the first steps.

What are the four steps?

You tell us about the problem. A person replies. We introduce a plumber only if you agree. Then you decide.

  1. Tell us about the problem. What you need, your zip code, how soon and whether you own the home. “Leak or suspected hidden leak” is on the form, and so is “Researching for now”.
  2. A person replies to you first. We read what you sent and answer your question. Where the right call is someone else, such as the gas utility or your water provider, we say so. No company is copied in.
  3. We introduce a plumber only if you agree. When matching is live in your area, we will ask before passing your details to any named plumbing company. Until then, we tell you it is not live.
  4. You decide. Talk to a plumber, ask for a written quote, or keep reading. Nothing on this site commits you to anything.

What happens to my information?

  • A person reads it. Not a routing rule and not an autoresponder.
  • We do not sell it. Introducing you to a plumber you asked to meet is not selling a list, and we do not sell lists.
  • No company gets it without your OK. You say yes to each named introduction first.
  • Your phone number is optional. The form sends without one, and agreeing to calls is never a condition of using the site.
  • Your street address is optional too. The zip code is the only location we need. Address suggestions come from an outside lookup service, so leave that box empty if you prefer.
  • You can have it deleted. Just ask. The privacy policy explains what we store and for how long.

How is HyrePlumber different from a lead-selling site?

Some sites that collect plumbing inquiries work in the ways below. You should know which kind of site you are using.

  • Selling one inquiry to several companies. We do not run a lead auction or sell lists.
  • Passing details on the moment you submit. Nothing goes anywhere until you agree to a named introduction.
  • Requiring a phone number. Ours is optional, and it stays optional.
  • Promising a plumber within minutes. We make no promise about response times, because no plumber is signed up.
  • Calling companies “trusted” or “approved”. We do not use those words, because we have not done the work that would make them true.
  • Hiding the useful pages behind the form. Every calculator and guide works without your details.

What makes an inquiry easy to answer?

  • Where the water shows up. A ceiling stain, a wet slab, a slow drain or a high bill. Say where, and whether it is getting worse.
  • What you have already tried. Plunging, a drain chemical, shutting a valve. Say so, because some of these change what a plumber does next.
  • What is in the walls. If you know your pipe material or the house's age, say so. Pipe materials shows how to tell.
  • What you have been quoted. If you have a quote, the lines it lists (or leaves out) tell us what to ask about.

Can I use the site without the form?

Yes. Every guide and tool is open without it:

How might HyrePlumber be paid?

We expect plumbing companies to pay us for introducing homeowners to them. You are never charged. The page for plumbers covers that side.

The risk is that money starts to shape the advice. Our editorial policy keeps the two apart, and how plumbing companies will be checked shows the checks we plan before any introduction, and which are not built yet.

How do I reach you?

Email hello@hyreplumber.com or call (866) 582-8523, an office line, not a dispatch line. To add to an inquiry or have it deleted, just ask. The contact page lists every way to reach us.

Ready to tell us about the problem?

Describe what is wrong and your zip code. A person reads it, and no plumber gets your details until you agree.

Questions people ask

Does it cost anything to use HyrePlumber?
No. The guides and calculators cost nothing, and neither does sending the form. It does not commit you to a company, a repair or a visit.
Is sending the form a service call?
No. It dispatches nobody and books nothing. If water is running and you cannot stop it, shut the main water valve and call a local plumber directly. Plumbing emergencies has the first steps.
How many plumbers will contact me?
Today, none. No plumbing companies are signed up and matching is not live. A person reads your inquiry and replies. When matching opens in your area, we will ask before introducing you to any named company.
Can you tell me what my job will cost?
No. Nobody can price plumbing well without seeing the house: access, pipe material, diagnosis and permits all move the number. What plumbing work costs shows what drives a quote and how to compare two.
Do I have to give a phone number?
No. The phone field is optional, and the form sends without it. If you give a number, we call or text only if you also check the consent box, and only about your inquiry.
