For the trade
For plumbers
HyrePlumber has no plumbing companies signed up, no live matching and no lead volume to quote. What we have is a site that answers your customers’ questions before they call, and a list you can join now. Registering costs nothing and commits you to nothing.
Where should I start?
- How introductions will work The steps from a homeowner’s question to your phone, and what is not built yet.
- Partner FAQ Cost, exclusivity, volume, emergencies and data, answered plainly, including where the answer is “not decided”.
- Register your interest Tell us where you work and which work you want. No cost, and nothing to sign.
- How companies will be checked The checks we plan before any introduction, and the ones not built yet.
Why we open with what we lack. You have probably been sold a number before, so we will not open with one.
We would rather have a short, honest conversation about what a fair arrangement looks like.
What is HyrePlumber?
hyreplumber.com publishes independent information for homeowners with a plumbing problem: what the job involves, what is hidden once the wall closes, what moves the price and what a written quote should contain.
We do no plumbing work, employ no plumbers, hold no license and run no dispatch desk. We intend to introduce readers to companies that can do the work.
The site has service guides and eleven plumbing calculators and tools, all open, none behind an email wall.
Why do service calls and planned projects need separate handling?
- Service calls. A drain, a leak, a water heater that quit. The homeowner wants someone soon, and the diagnosis decides the job.
- Planned projects. A repipe, a sewer line, a water heater swap planned ahead. The scope, the permit and the written quote decide it, and a bad match costs you a site visit.
Some disciplines are separate again: sewer excavation, gas lines and water treatment. We ask how soon the work is wanted and which work you decline, and will pass both on with every introduction.
What has a homeowner read before contacting you?
What your customer already knows matters more than a volume figure. Someone who reaches you through this site may already have read that:
- A leaking tank body is a replacement, not a repair. The repair-or-replace tool says so first.
- A quote should give labor, parts, permit, haul-away and patching their own lines. See what plumbing work costs.
- On a sewer line, the camera comes before the price.
- A house can hold more than one pipe material. See pipe materials.
- Whether a job needs a permit is a question for the building department and the plumber doing the work.
If that sounds like a harder customer, notice who it is harder for. A company that itemizes, diagnoses in writing and pulls the permit has had half the conversation done for it.
What would we ask of you?
The same things we tell homeowners to check. It would make no sense to publish a checklist and then introduce homeowners to companies that fail it.
- A real, registered business. Registered with your state, with a name that matches the one on your license and your invoices.
- The license your work requires. From the state board or the city, whichever licenses plumbing where you work. Where the license is held by a master plumber, name them.
- Liability and workers’ compensation coverage. Workers’ comp where you employ people. Confirmed with the carrier once that check is built.
- A written quote with separate lines. Labor, parts, permit, haul-away and patching, with what is excluded and what would change the number on site.
- Which work you want. Service calls, planned projects or both, and which services. Otherwise we would be guessing.
- A reply to every inquiry you accept. A homeowner who is never called back is a homeowner we have failed.
What is not decided yet?
HyrePlumber is early. We would rather leave these open than publish terms that change in three months.
| Term | Where it stands |
|---|---|
| Pricing model and price | Not decided. Per inquiry, subscription or something else, and at what price. |
| Exclusive or shared | Not decided. Whether an inquiry goes to one company or several, and whether any area is protected. |
| Delivery speed | Not decided. How quickly an accepted inquiry reaches you. |
| Invalid inquiries | Not decided. What earns a credit, and how a dispute is raised. |
| Contract terms | Not decided. Any minimum commitment, and how to pause or leave. |
Settled already: we take no cut of the job, and you contract with the homeowner directly. The partner FAQ answers each open term one by one, and the lead quality standard sets the rules for every inquiry.
What will HyrePlumber never become?
- A competitor. We will not perform, subcontract or supervise plumbing work.
- A directory. No profiles, ratings or rankings, so there is no position to buy.
- A badge seller. We will never call your company “trusted”. We name what we checked and let the homeowner decide.
- A traffic reseller. Every inquiry will start on this site, from someone who read a page. We buy no leads to resell.
