For plumbing companies
How introductions will work
Matching is not live and no plumbing companies are signed up, so this is how it will work, not how it works today. A homeowner asks us for help, is matched on area and service, and agrees to a named introduction. You quote and contract directly. Pricing and exclusivity are not decided.
Read the gaps first. The chain below is the design, not a running service. What is not built and not decided is listed further down, in full.
How will an inquiry reach you?
- A homeowner reads. A service guide or a calculator, with a plumbing problem in mind, not a company name.
- They describe the job. Zip code, what they need, how soon, whether they own the home, and their own description of the problem.
- A person at HyrePlumber replies first. We answer the homeowner’s question. Where the right answer is a shut-off valve, the gas utility or a different trade, we say so. No company is copied in.
- We match on area and service. Against the areas you cover, the services you offer and the work you decline.
- The homeowner agrees to an introduction. To your company, by name. Without that, nothing goes anywhere.
- You take it from there. You call the homeowner, diagnose, scope the work, quote it and contract directly. We are not in that conversation.
HyrePlumber takes no part in your conversation with the homeowner and no percentage of the job.
When is an inquiry eligible?
When the homeowner has agreed to the introduction, the zip code is inside an area you chose, and the work they asked for is work you told us you do.
Homeowners who say they are researching will be handled differently from ones who want the work now. Sending a next-year repipe inquiry to a company expecting a service call this week serves nobody.
How will matching work?
- Your areas. You choose the zip codes, cities or counties. We will not widen your radius to make volume.
- Your services. Drains, water heaters, leaks, sewer lines, repiping, gas lines, water treatment or fixtures. Leave out what you do not take on.
- The work you decline. Sewer excavation, gas lines and commercial work are separate. Tell us what you turn down and you will not receive it.
- How soon. Right now, within days, within weeks or researching. The homeowner picks one, and you will see which.
What will an inquiry contain?
- Zip code, the kind of work and how soon it is wanted
- Whether they own, rent or manage the home
- The homeowner’s own description of the problem, where they gave one
- Name and email, and a phone number or street address where the homeowner chose to give one
The phone number is optional on our form and will stay optional. We call or text a homeowner only if they agree in the consent box, and agreeing to calls is never a condition of using the site.
What are your obligations with homeowner data?
Homeowner details reach you for one purpose: responding to that inquiry. You may not resell them, add them to unrelated marketing, or pass them on. If a homeowner asks you to stop contacting them, stop. Our privacy policy describes what we collect and why.
What would we measure once introductions start?
- How many introductions reached a real, reachable person.
- How many you turned down, and why.
- Time from inquiry to first contact, by month.
- Service calls and planned projects reported apart, because a blended rate describes neither.
- How many inquiries got an answer and no introduction, because none was right.
We would publish that last number too. A platform paid to turn every inquiry into an introduction will make bad ones.
What is not built or decided yet?
We will not publish commercial terms we have not committed to. Open today:
| Term | Status |
|---|---|
| Matching itself | Not live |
| Company checks | Not built |
| Pricing model and price | Not decided |
| Exclusive or shared inquiries | Not decided |
| Delivery speed | Not decided |
| Handling of urgent inquiries | Not decided |
| Invalid-inquiry credits and disputes | Not decided |
| Minimum commitment and cancellation | Not decided |
The checks we plan before any introduction are on how plumbing companies will be checked. Registering now costs nothing and commits you to nothing. When these terms are settled, businesses on the list hear before this page changes.
